The eagle eyed amongst us might have noticed that yesterday’s blog post was the first one for ages. No announcement that I was writing again. No explanation. It just showed up.
And yes, one or two people noticed. Thank you for that, very sweet 🙂
And then there was everyone else. Everyone else for whom it was business as usual. No fuss and nonsense. Just life moving forward.
And it got me thinking … you know how sometimes we make decisions which, for us in that moment, feel like a pretty big deal? And we wonder how to make it known that things are going to change or that we’re setting new intentions.
And sometimes the fear about how to get started can hold us back from actually starting.
Because what if we change our minds?
Or what if we mess it up?
Or what if it’s amazing?
What if we just started? What if we just showed up, acted like it’s business as usual, no fuss and nonsense, just life moving forward?
One day at a time. One small step built on another. What might that look like?
Because you know what? Most people are far too preoccupied with their own stuff to notice what’s going on with you even half as much as you think they do.
And sure, sometimes our very first step might not be as neat or well put together as we might like (between you and I, I lost the original audio file for the podcast version of the daily dose and the temporary version I’ve pulled together is rubbish in comparison!) but done beats perfect every time.
And so your challenge for today, if you choose to accept it 😉
Whatever that thing is that you’ve been holding off doing for fear of what other people might think, just do it. No declarations or statement of intent needed. Pick a first step forward and go for it.
Are you ready?
Get to it!
Until the next time, keep smiling 🙂
