An invitation to grow
Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:
There’s something incredibly powerful about joining with others in worship. Think of these times as your “top ups” or “faith builders” because when two or more of you are gathered together, I am there in the midst of you. You feel my presence when you meet with me in community. These are incredibly times and not to be discarded.
And I am with you right now as you do day to day life. Moses walked with me and talked with me face to face. He was one of my set apart ones but he didn’t live on top of the mountain. The mountain was a place to visit, a place where He heard me more clearly.
You have a different relationship with me than Moses did, an increased level of access because of when you live. That is no accident. I saw you and knew you as I created the world. Understand that as you come together with others to worship, you are carrying me with you. I will never leave you so as you explore this invitation to build houses of worship, understand that it begins in you.
I am Spirit and you worship me in Spirit. Physical buildings are only as useful as the people they bring together. This then is an invitation to grow you, to grow your capacity to live a life of worship with me.
Ask me what that looks like. Allow me to share my heart with you and then act on what you hear. This is so vitally important to me, that’s why we’re here again.
Give yourself to me. Take your everyday, ordinary life - your sleeping, eating, going to work and walking around life - and place it before me as an offering. Embracing what I’m doing for you, saying yes to the invitations, is the very best thing you can do for me and I love it when you do so!
