I rejoice over this moment with you

Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:

It’s time to raise your expectations of me. I’m not passive or aloof. I didn’t set the world in motion and then take a nap. You are never abandoned or alone. If the creator of the heavens and earth is always working for you and with you then, what might you expect of me? Because you’ve been playing far too small!

And yet, for all the wonderful dreams and plans I want to share with you, there is something even more precious to me … you. Your company, spending time with you, conversation, doing life together. No matter how you choose to describe it, the most precious thing, the thing I will guard above all else, is my relationship with you.

Yes I want you to stop playing small and yes, I have a plan and a purpose for your life and yes, there are adventures that await us on this journey, but not at any cost!

You focus on action, how you can help move my promises forward. I focus on you. You want to talk about the next strategy or ask me questions about plans for the day. I want to talk about my heart for you. You think about goals and aspirations, what you will do next week. I think about you.

Yes, I have all the time in the world, I created time, but I choose to journey through time with you. As such, I’m faced with the same twenty-four hours each day that you are. Do you see me trying to cram in more to-dos or stressing over the things I didn’t get to yet?

Move with me, operate in the grace of today, trusting that if something is important for this moment, I’ll help you get to it. Embrace the joy of this moment with me just as I rejoice over this moment with you.
