Bring me all your questions

Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:

What are those conversations that you’re reluctant to have with me? Why are you hesitating? What do you think is going to happen? I’m not trying to trick you or catch you out and this isn’t about adding more stuff to your plate. I simply want to help you move into my best for you.

What if the conversation you’re holding back from having with me actually resulted in less doing? Less stuff on your plate? Because you really don’t need to be everywhere, to be all things to all people. You have a field of influence, remember?

And yes, in your effort to be all things to all people you are of course going to accidentally move in your field of influence some of the time but what if your current efforts are resulting in more work for you and less of an impact in those areas where I actually saw you making an impact?

More importantly, when you resist having conversations with me about everything, that means there are some areas of your life where you’re not letting me in. Those pieces that you don’t want to talk to me about, have you fallen for the lie that I’m uninterested or unable? Which is it?

If the answer is “neither” then why won’t you talk to me about everything? What are you really afraid of? What do you suppose is going to happen? What if the very best happens as a result of that conversation? Do you even know what “very best” would look like? Yes, I know I’m asking you a lot of questions today. That’s because I love questions.

And I’m inviting you, reminding you, nudging you, to bring me all of your questions. You might not have all the answers and I don’t expect you to but I have more answers than you can possibly imagine! So stop holding back and instead, bring me all your questions.
