Don't put me in a box!

Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:

Those times when you feel impatient, when you’d like to move on something immediately but you sense a need to pause and wait a little, don’t lose heart. The pausing isn’t a punishment. And it’s a pause, not a full stop. There is beauty to be found in the pause and without it, you will not be able to do everything that I’d like us to do together.

The pause is for you and it’s for the people around you. Not everyone moves at the same pace as you. Life is seasonal and there are going to be seasons when it feels like others are slowing you down or holding you back but it’s time to change the story. You’re not being held back; you’re exactly where you need to be in this moment.

Hear my heart in this … you’re not running out of time. Yes, life is precious and not to be taken for granted and you can trust the process. Trust that if you’re in a moment of waiting, it is for good reason. I am working in all things for your good, remember, and that includes the pause. Yes, I am moving in the pause.

What are you to do in the pause? Prepare. Ask me what, if anything, needs attention during this waiting season. You must not rush the process. Instead, what if you saw this as an opportunity for us to go deeper into our relationship? What if in the pause you brought me all your questions and we explored them together? And what if nothing were off limits?

And what if those times when you think you don’t hear me are simply times when you’re not allowing me into every area of your life? I want to do life with you, all of life. There is no area of your life that my love cannot touch so stop trying to keep me in a box!
