I've been waiting for this moment

Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:

You have this sense that, because you read so many references in the bible to the power of waiting on Me, that I am slow and need to catch up with you. That could not be further from the truth! I am not slow and you’re not waiting around for me. I have been waiting for this moment. Yes, I have been waiting on you.

What you’re really dealing with here is your inability to see all things. You don’t see the bigger picture or understand how all things are held together. From the perspective of eternity, your life is less than a blink of an eye. It’s a mere fragment of time but because you’re living it the long way round, it feels long and slow.

Those moments when I invite you to wait on me are really about waiting in me, stepping outside the dimension of time and into my reality. When you do that, I can share with you all the things on my heart. I can help you understand your journey better because I can show you how it fits within a wider context.

My timing is not slow, it’s simply unmeasurable by you and therefore feels slow sometimes. You feel like you’ve been waiting for forever. You live in a culture that doesn’t like to wait.

What if waiting is my very best for you in this moment? What if those times when you don’t see any evidence of action you simply trusted that I know what I’m doing and I’m orchestrating things for your best within the wider context of all of creation?

And ask me what I need from you while you’re waiting. I’ve been waiting on you, remember, so is there something I’m inviting you into in this moment? You won’t know unless you ask me.
