My best for your good

Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:

There’s nothing new under the sun so this isn’t about hearing a new word from me or a new expression of my love. My love is and was and always will be. Instead, this is about hearing the reminders you need for this moment of this new day.

And yes, sometimes that means you’re going to hear things from me that are not new and that you have heard before. I’m not going to apologise for being repetitive whilst you are so easily forgetful!

You forget the promises. You forget my love for you. You forget the invitation to move with me through today. You forget that I’m playing the long game. You forget that I know exactly what I’m doing. You forget that you were never meant to be independent from me. You forget that you were born for a life of relationship.

And so you’re going to hear reminders, the same words in a different order, simply because that’s what your heart needs. And I know what you need. You all too easily forget that too! I always know what you need, every time and without exception.

Take these things one piece at a time, one step at a time, with me, and you will not go wrong. The day might sometimes look different to what you had anticipated but that’s not a bad thing and it doesn’t mean you’re lazy. You can reject that lie immediately!

And when you’re feeling depleted, rest. You forget that you’re not designed to burn the candle at both ends. You need to get enough good quality rest if you’re going to function at your very best. Because that’s what I’m inviting you into … my very best for you. Never lose sight of the journey we’re on together. It won’t always be easy but it is always, ultimately, my best for your good. What could be fairer than that?
