What are you expecting?

Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:

It it time to bring all your expectations - fulfilled and unfulfilled - and explore them with me. There are some areas of your life where you are disappointed and I want to redeem those pieces. As you bring each expectation to me, I want you to be real about how you’re feeling. Do you feel like I’ve kept you waiting too long? Do you blame me for something you heard me promise that hasn’t yet played out how you anticipated? Are you feeling disappointed?

I know you know that I am moving in all things. I know you know that, ultimately, all will be well because I am who I am. And yet you find yourself wondering if you’ve missed it or misheard me. Did I really make those promises? Did I really say? Is this it?

Let me help you reject the lie that I am holding out on you. You’re not here to scratch around in the dirt, chipping away at an existence until the day you die. Yes, the best is yet to come but that word is for this life as well as the life to come.

Lift up your head and ask me for a new set of expectations. Expect to hear me. Expect to impact the world around you with my love. Expect to see me move with signs, wonders and miracles. Expect the people you love to walk in relationship with me. Expect to see people healed. Expect every day to be an adventure with me. Expect to make a difference. Expect to thrive.

Live in me, moment by moment, and you can expect me to meet all your expectations because I’m the one giving them to you. Fulfilled expectations is another word for fruit. Abide in me and you will bear much fruit.
