Bring every word to me

Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:

What if you didn’t get tripped up on the words other people say? Yes, words have power and you don’t have to receive every word given to you. Confirmation not revelation, remember? If you hear a word and it is either given to you directly or you feel a nudge to receive it, explore that word with me.

I tell you to take every thought captive and make it obedient to Jesus and the same is true for the spoken word. Bring every word to me. Ask me to shine the light of my love into each word, every situation. I don’t want to leave you feeling confused or hurt.

What if you turned to me before Google? What if you asked me what I say? And no, I’m not saying that to chastise you. I’m trying to save you some time and heartache.

Come to me first, by default, safe in the knowledge that if I need you to get outside input, I can lead you accordingly. But what if I’ve already provided everything you need? What if the plan is already in place and you simply need me to help pull the pieces together so you can see, understand and receive them?

I saw this moment before you were conceived. Everything has been leading to right here, right now. You think your life is a series of random happenings, leaping from one thing to the next, but that couldn’t be further from the truth. 

It is time to ask me who I created you to be, how I see you, who you are from my perspective. Ask, expecting me to answer you. I’m not far from you. I’m not hiding myself away or playing a game of hide and seek. I am closer than the air that you breathe and I am thrilled and delighted to share my heart for you.

And you don’t need to be afraid because I am love. There is nothing to fear from me, I will not hurt you. Ask, expecting an answer, and let me share my heart.
