Embrace this moment with me
Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:
You’re here to learn how to do life with me, moment by moment. To live in the reality of my love, and to invite others into that reality with me. How you do life, the specifics of what you do or how you show up, feel open ended to you.
You sometimes feel like life is quite random. You marvel at the ramifications of one choice and the direction life takes as a result. It might feel random to you but none of it takes me by surprise. I see you right now in this moment and I saw this moment before time began.
Yes, I understand that that kind of thinking makes your mind ache. It feels unfathomable to you. I feel unfathomable to you. That’s actually a very good thing. Do you really want a God who you have all figured out? I didn’t think so!
And so the whole of time itself has been one great big dance of knowing and being known. The warm up act before the most incredible eternity. You can’t even begin to imagine what that will be like so don’t even try. Instead, focus on life with me in this moment.
Life feels long but it is fleeting. I know it doesn’t feel like that to you, especially on the challenging days. When you reflect on the journey to where you are right now today, it feels long and slow. It is but a sharp intake of breath when set against the reality of all of that was and is and is to come.
Let me help you embrace the joy in this moment! Forget the former things, don’t dwell on the past. I am in this moment with you and the moment after that and the moment after that. Every moment from here and stretching into the life to come I am with you but this moment is all we have. Embrace this moment with me.
