I am in this moment
Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:
I know it doesn’t always feel like it, but if you let me, I can open your eyes to see just how magnificent this moment is. This moment really is all we have and I am in this moment. That’s why Jesus told you to refuse to worry about tomorrow. Deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time, one moment at a time.
Your mind likes to remind you of all the reasons to worry, all the things you didn’t do yet. Seek first the Kingdom. Fix your eyes on Jesus. I know what you need and I will not let you down. Keep moving forward with me, one moment at a time.
When you worry about the “what if?” of tomorrow, you rob yourself of the joy in today. Things invariably don’t play out the way your anxious mind imagines and you don’t make life any better by fixating on “what if?” Truly, you make your life worse when you do that. Refuse to worry about tomorrow, me-helping you. It really is a choice.
I’m not telling you to not make plans. I love imagining and dreaming with you. I love giving you glimpse of the bigger picture. You can make plans for tomorrow but don’t allow worry to overtake you.
And yes, that is very easy for me to say. I am the Master of yesterday, today and tomorrow. But you’re my beloved child. We can navigate this together. I didn’t create the world, wind it up and set it on its tracks to run its course. I am in this moment, actively, creatively, lovingly.
Share this moment with me. Ask me what’s on my heart right now. Let me whisper my love to you. And when challenges come up, we’ll deal with them together, one moment at a time. Because this moment really is all we have and I am in this moment.
