You're never too anything for me

Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:

I’m a good Dad and I give good gifts! The very next time you find yourself feeling uncertain, the next time you think you can’t hear me, know that I am always whispering my love to you. You can take that as certain.

If I’m always whispering to you, why do you sometimes feel like you can’t hear me? Do you think I hide myself away in a bid to encourage you to seek me? That might sometimes feel true to you but really it’s simply about pausing and embracing the gifts I have given you, the gifts that make it easy for you to connect with me in any moment.

What’s your “go to” when you feel uncertain? What if you took uncertainty as your cue to sing or talk to me in the language of Holy Spirit? I know your heart, remember, and as such there will be times when you can’t seem to find the words but you can know with certainty that I still hear everything you’re not saying.

It’s time to abandon the lie that tells you I need to speak with you in a special way. You can talk to me about anything and everything. I would much rather you be real with me about where you’re at, how you’re feeling, what’s going on with you - even if it’s not pretty. I am never offended by your mess!

Your mess hurts me when it hurts you, yes, because I love you so much and I hurt like you would hurt for a child, but your mess doesn’t frighten me or discredit you from conversation with me. I love talking to you. I am the One to whom you can never talk too much! Yes, I love you to listen too but you are never too anything for me. Keep talking. Keep sharing. Keep showing up. I love doing life with you!
