One day at a time together
Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:
It’s okay to simply sit and be with me or walk and be with me. Not everything we do needs an agenda outside of simply being together. That’s ultimately all I want. It’s what you were made for: Love, connection.
In the life to come, everything will be centred around love and connection. It will be different because we’ll be free to chat face to face but then you’ll catch a glimpse of me and fall down and worship! And then I’ll reach out my hand, lift your head, and smile.
You are my precious child and I won’t let anything come between us. That’s why I keep gently nudging you forward, one step at a time. I don’t want to lose our connection, the conversation. It would break my heart if we didn’t have this time together. It is more vital, more important, than you fully know.
You sometimes view this time as another thing to check off your list. It’s okay, I forgive you. You don’t fully know or comprehend what happens when we spend time together. Why do you think the enemy tries so hard to distract you with other seemingly more vital things? He knows the power and equipping that is unleashed every time you sit and hear my heart.
Really, if you understand nothing else today, know this … the time we spend together is crucial! It is not a “todo”. It is the life force. It is the air that you breathe. It is the blood pumping through your veins.
You must not let anything or anyone get in the way of hearing my heart. Yes, even on those days when you feel like I have nothing to say. I always have something to share with you. Always. Even if I simply whisper my love. What ultimately is needed more than that?
If every day you rested in my love, what kind of difference might that make? Don’t underestimate or discount my love then. Keep hearing the whispers of my heart. I have so many great and wonderful things for us to explore together. One day at a time. Together.
