Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:
If I saw you and knew you as I created the world, if I know the end from the beginning, if I’m holding all of creation in the palm of my hands, do you think it’s possible that I can lead you and guide you along the very best path?
“Best” is in the eye of the beholder of course. There will be times when you think “best” means easy and light without any real effort needed and yes, aspects of my best will be like that.
Remember though that the natural world around you is a picture of what happens in the spiritual. In the natural world, people take great joy and delight in hiking a really tough trail. The sense of achievement and the view when they get to the top is worth the sweat and blisters!
Blisters happen when you’re wearing brand new or ill-fitting shoes. There’s a reason why sometimes, as I lead you on this path, it feels like I have you moving at half speed. It takes time for you to grow into the journey. I don’t want you getting blisters.
Once you’re ready though, when all the preparation is done, it is time to move! And that’s when things can get both exciting and a little hairy. Keep moving with me. Allow me to guide you along the path, one step at a time together, and it becomes so much easier to enjoy the ride.
“Ride” is the perfect word because when you travel with me it can feel like you’re being carried along, even as you’re taking action and doing the work.
You don’t need to be afraid of this next season. I know it feels overwhelming because you don’t see all the details but you’re doing this with me, with love, and I have the ability to cast out all fear. Give me your “what ifs” and uncertainties. Give them to me and ask me for my truth instead.
I saw you and knew you as I created the world. I know the end from the beginning. I am holding all of creation in the palm of my hands. I am leading you, guiding you, always.
