This isn't the end of the story

Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:

I can give you words of comfort and encouragement. I can and I do. At the same time … you’ve been walking this out with me long enough to have experienced the reality that not every prayer for healing is answered with “yes”. Not every restoration happens this side of the age to come. Not every child prospers. These things can cause disappointment, especially when filtered through the lens of comfort words.

I know this is hard to hear but I also know that you’re ready to meet reality head on. You don’t want platitudes or empty words. You hear words of comfort and when you’re in a season of disappointment they feel like a punch to your gut. Instead, you want my truth and my truth is this …

I love you with an everlasting love. I am with you, always. I have a plan and a purpose for your life and it is glorious. And, you will face troubles in this life, it will feel like the end of everything, you won’t know how you can possibly keep putting one foot in front of the other, but you will come through it, with me. I’m right there with you in the dirt and the tears. Where else would I be?! I love you with an ever-lasting love and I will never leave you.

My love, the truth of my love, is the piece to cling to. It’s also where you’re to put your focus as you move forward from here, deliberately choosing your powerful words.

Because yes, some things are going to be difficult but don’t stop there because that’s not the end of your story. I love you with an ever-lasting love. You are my precious, dear child. I love you because I love you because I love you. Forever and ever, amen!
