What if you stopped allowing yourself to get distracted by all the nonsense and instead asked me what I’m inviting you to focus on? You can’t fight every battle and you were never meant to. Not everything that you come across is yours to pick up and run with. There is so much that I am inviting you to explore, areas of this vast and beautiful world that need you, so why waste your time and energy on nonsense?
Yes, help people, you’re not here to play on your own, but there is a huge difference between helping someone and getting swept up into drama. The world you live in is tightly connected and that connection is a beautiful thing but it does mean you’re more susceptible to nonsense than ever before.
And that’s why I keep inviting you back into relationship, nudging you to keep things simple, and give yourself permission not to be in the know about every single thing. The only thing you’re missing out on by allowing yourself to get distracted is the opportunity to step into everything I have for you. Refuse to worry about missing out and instead, let me help you embrace my best for you.
“So we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever.” 2 Corinthians 4:18 NLT
