Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
Things aren’t always going to unfold the way you think they should or the way you’d ideally like them to. Sometimes you need to take the next step forward in faith, trusting that I will be with you every step of the way.
Notice that I didn’t say “trusting that I will not let you fall”. You’re mature enough to hear the truth … there are times when you will fall and I allow that to happen. I know that’s uncomfortable for you to hear. It messes with your picture of how you think life should be. Sometimes you will fall and when you fall, I am right there with you, holding you, lifting you up, helping you to go again.
This life is not all there is. One day, at the name of Jesus every knee will bow. One day, everyone will be walking with me face to face, hearing my heart without a veil between me and them. One day, the only thing left for you to do will be to enjoy my company as you work with your hands to produce and create. You’ll laugh and sing and talk and dance with others. What a day that will be!
When that day comes, you’ll never again fall down, except when you choose to, but until then, stop being afraid of falling. I understand you don’t want to make a wrong move but you’re moving with me. How could that be wrong? I am moving and working in all things for your good, remember?
Your fear of failure is folding you back, stopping you from taking the next step with me. What’s it going to take for you to reject fear and instead move forward in my love? My love, perfect love, casts out all fear. Show your fear the door by dazzling it with my love!
