Rest in me. Allow me to hold you, to sustain you and, as I do so, trust that I can show you exactly what you need. And yes, I hear you … that rest is going to look different in different seasons.
There are times when resting in me is about literally resting. Pausing in the moment and being with me is beautiful and not to be underestimated. As you pause with me, I strengthen and renew you.
On other occasions our resting together is a lot more active and engaged. Walking together outside or engaging in activities that fill and inspire you - I’m in those moments too. Trust that whatever rest looks like, it is exactly what you need.
Resting and waiting are not exactly the same. There are times that you’re waiting and you’re definitely not resting! But resting in me and waiting on me are beautiful things, moments to be treasured. It’s really about heart posture and trust. And yes, I know it’s not always easy for you and yes, I can help you.
