I know you don’t want to sleepwalk through life. The thought of one day merging into the next, rinse and repeat with no end or change in sight, terrifies you. You like variety and to feel like you’re making a deliberate, intentional choice or decision. You don’t want an accidental, default life and I honour that.
It’s important, however, that you don’t make the mistake of rejecting rest for fear of sleepwalking. Rest is good for you and needed. A season of rest prepares you for what lies ahead and when you rest with me, you will be restored.
Yes, the only way to know the difference between rest and sleepwalking is to explore this season with me. What am I inviting you into? What do you need in order to be ready? And what’s the real focus right now? Explore all things with me and you will not go wrong.
“They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” Isaiah 40:31 ESV
