Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
This world and the things you see around you are not all there is. You are in Jesus, seated at the right hand of Father, right now in this very moment. Yes, I know that makes your head hurt but it’s time to recognise and embrace the reality of who you are. Christ in you and you in Him. That’s significant!
There is comfort to be found in the idea of heaven when you lose a loved one. You embrace the comfort that comes from knowing you will be reunited one day. And when that day comes, it brings with it the added benefit of no more tears, pain or hurt.
But don’t let the idea of the age to come rob you of the reality of who and where you are today. There’s a balance to this of course. To the grieving widow, nothing is of greater comfort than the certainty of being together again one day. To ask them to embrace the reality of today would be cruel.
And yet, their grief does not change who and where you are in me. Everywhere you go today, Jesus walks, simply because He is in you and you are in Him. You carry all power and authority because of Whose you are. It’s time to take ownership of your authority and really take me at my word.
I came to set captives free, to give sight to the blind, hearing to the deaf. And that work did not stop at the cross! Everything within the context of the bigger picture that you will only see glimpses of, but as you move through today, in me, ask me how I want to show up.
Ask me to move in the circumstances in your life – and allow me to move in you today. You want to make a difference in the world? That’s how you do it. You in me and me in you.
