Don’t invest any time or thinking in “what if?” Instead, plan and move forward with everything I have given you and trust that I know exactly what I’m doing. “What if?” does not serve you when it’s linked to doubt and uncertainty. What have I said? What do you know? Lay out all the pieces, all of the promises, and take me at my word.
Every single moment has led to this one. Every little breadcrumb, leading you down a path to this moment, this opportunity. Unless you look back and allow me to show you the pieces, it can feel random and accidental to you but nothing about your life is an accident. Everything makes a difference and all of it has been leading you to this moment.
That’s why “what if?” in the face of doubt and uncertainty is of no value at all. I’m with you, always, but I will not explore those doubt-filled “what ifs?” with you because they are not my best for you. The “what if?” I love to explore is rooted in hope and possibility. That is a completely different exploration!
Hope and possibility are expansive, freeing and life-giving, the opposite of doubt and uncertainty. So if you really must ask “what if?” let me renew your thinking and explore your questions from a place of joy and delight.
“The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.” Deuteronomy 31:8 NIV
Journal prompt: What are the pieces that led to this moment? How did we get here?
