Today's Holy Spirit Love Note:
It’s time to look again at the lies you’ve been believing about me. Perfect love casts out fear, there is no fear in love. What then is there to fear in doing life with me? Why are you afraid of letting go and letting me move in your life?
I’m not trying to trick you or trip you up. Your life is not a test to see how well you measure up. I don’t love you because of what you can do for me and I don’t remove my love if you mess up or fail to meet the grade!
I am love. Love is my very nature. I am patient, I am kind. I do not envy or boast. I am not proud. I never dishonour you and I am not self-seeking or easily angered. I keep no record of your wrongs. I do not rejoice in evil but rejoice in the truth. I always protect, always trust, always hope, always persevere and I never fail. As such, what is there to be afraid of?
And so I invite you again today to explore with me the lies you’ve been believing about me. Bring every lie into the light and ask me to show you my truth. Who am I to you? What does it mean to be my child? How do you live in the reality of your adoption as a child of the King?
Explore all these things with me and let the reality of my love soothe your heart and still every fear. You do not need to be afraid. The invitation to let go and let me be God is glorious! And perfect love, my love, casts out all fear. There is no fear in love and I am love!
