Today’s Holy Spirit Love Note:
When you’re feeling a bit lost, do what I keep inviting you to do … come to me. You don’t need the right words or the correct feelings. Just bring yourself, climb up onto my lap, and tell me all about it. And when you don’t have words for what’s going on inside your mind, just come and simply be with me. I know your heart. I can translate those aches and groans and wordless sighs. I hear you. I understand.
And whilst I don’t promise to instantly make everything better, I am here with you, holding you and speaking peace into your heart. This too shall pass. And in the meantime, grab hold of me. Let me mend the pieces that are hurting.
You need to remember that your feelings are not your enemy and they don’t always tell the whole story. To know what’s really going on, bring your feelings to me because they can be great feedback but without the proper interpretation, your feelings can lead you astray – and I don’t want that for you.
I also don’t want you to remain feeling stuck in what you would describe as “negative” emotions for any longer than necessary. Joy can be your default. Yes, even on the days when joy feels elusive. Again, it comes back to exploring everything with me.
Ask me what’s going on – because even when you don’t know why you’re feeling the way you do, there will always be a reason and I’d be delighted to explore that with you. I love exploring everything with you. There is nothing about you I find tedious or boring. You delight me!
