What’s on your heart? What are you concerned about or questioning? Are there things you’re feeling uncertain about that we haven’t explored yet? Or maybe we’ve explored them so you feel like you can’t talk to me about them again for fear of being repetitive?
When pictured from the context of eternity, humanity is incredibly repetitive but don’t let that stop you from talking to me. I love doing life with you, exploring all of the things that are on your heart.
And yes, I also love it when you make space to ask me what I’d like to explore with you, that’s the real gift of conversation. But I never expect you to be original in the things you share with me. You can’t take me by surprise but you can delight me.
I am delighted when you’re real with me about everything going on around you. I’m delighted when you take me at my word and act on the nudges. I’m also delighted when you simply open your eyes and say hello. In short, you delight me and I love you more than you can possibly comprehend.
“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done.” Philippians 4:6 NLT
